Introduction to Between Worlds

“Exploring identity, transformation, and the fusion of physical and digital realms.”

Welcome to the first edition of my 2025 newsletter series! This year, I’m excited to introduce *Between Worlds*, a new body of work that represents a pivotal moment in my artistic evolution. Through this series, I’m continuing to explore the intersection of humanity, technology, and nature, with a deeper emphasis on transformation. As you’ll see, *Between Worlds* bridges the physical and digital realms, weaving mythological narratives and symbolic depth into the core of each piece.

“Each piece represents a journey between realms.”

An artistic shift: From a Bitcoin-centric narrative rooted in the digital frontier to the mythological guide of Between Worlds, reflecting a deeper exploration of identity, transformation, and the fusion of realms.

Why *Between Worlds*?

For those who have followed my work, you’ll know that transformation has always been central to my creative process. My previous works, such as *Mad World* and *No time to evolve*, were grounded in themes of environmental awareness and humanity’s complex relationship with nature. With *Between Worlds*, I wanted to take these ideas further by adding abstraction and mythological elements to create a more expansive dialogue about identity, evolution, and connection.

The shift to focusing on the Shaman figure was a deliberate choice. In mythology, the Shaman acts as a guide between worlds—bridging the natural and supernatural, the known and unknown. This role mirrors my own process of blending the organic with the synthetic, the tangible with the abstract. Each piece in this series represents a journey between realms, whether it’s through physical media reimagined digitally or digital works transformed back into the physical.

Moreover, the Shaman reflects my personal experience of navigating both the contemporary art world and the crypto art space. These two realms often feel disconnected, and *Between Worlds* aims to find harmony within that tension.

A Response to the Landscape

In recent years, I’ve found myself reflecting on the evolving dynamics of the crypto art world. While much of the space has been dominated by memes, bitcoin focused art, utility-driven works, and PFP (profile picture) art, I’ve felt a pull toward creating something more personal—art that emphasizes symbolic storytelling and intellectual engagement over current trends.

This realization led me to explore mythology and abstraction, both of which allow for deeper layers of meaning while maintaining artistic integrity. With *Between Worlds*, I’m not offering utility or function but rather a transformative experience. The digital reimagining’s in this series include video enhancements that add a dynamic, evolving layer to the artworks. Minting these digital pieces on the blockchain ensures authenticity and provenance, reinforcing their conceptual value rather than transactional worth.

From Physical to Digital (and Back Again)

The heart of this series lies in the transformation process itself. Each piece starts as a physical work—drawings, paintings, or mixed media—which is then digitally reimagined. By adding layers of digital abstraction, I’m able to create works that feel both familiar and otherworldly, echoing the Shaman’s role as a bridge between realms.

In this edition, I’m sharing exclusive behind-the-scenes process images to give you a glimpse into how these transformations unfold. From the raw physical sketches to the polished digital renderings, you’ll see how each piece evolves in stages, much like the narratives they represent.

Data Weaver explores the interplay between organic lines and digital complexity. As an ink drawing, its intricate patterns reflect the weaving of data and nature, symbolizing interconnectedness and transformation.

Mythology, Symbolism & Iconography

Between Worlds draws from mythology to explore themes of transformation, identity, and the blending of nature and technology. At its heart is the Shaman, a figure that bridges the physical and spiritual, the organic and synthetic. The Shaman in this series draws inspiration from global mythologies, embodying the transformation between physical and digital. For example, in Natures Algorithm, the Shaman is depicted alongside a bird, symbolizing freedom and the ability to traverse realms, much like my own creative process.

Animal iconography plays a vital role in the series, echoing the Shamanic tradition where animals serve as guides, protectors, and symbols of deeper truths. Birds often represent transcendence and the ability to navigate between realms, much like the Shaman. Wolves and other guardians embody strength, intuition, and the instinct to safeguard knowledge, reflecting the tension between chaos and order. Snakes symbolize renewal and transformation, mirroring the process of reimagining physical works digitally and vice versa. Hybrid creatures, blending natural and technological forms, highlight humanity’s evolving identity in a digital age.

Other symbols, such as sacred plants and underworld motifs, enrich the narrative by referencing growth, healing, and self-discovery. Guardians of knowledge and cosmic balance draw connections between ancient myths and the modern world, encouraging viewers to uncover layers of meaning within each piece.

Through this integration of myth, symbolism, and iconography, Between Worlds invites viewers to connect with universal archetypes while contemplating humanity’s place in an increasingly hybridized world. Each work is both a visual narrative and a portal for reflection, bridging the timeless and the contemporary.

Maintaining Connection with My Audience

While *Between Worlds* represents a shift in my artistic direction, I remain committed to engaging with my existing audience, many of whom come from the meme and blockchain space. To bridge this transition, I’m creating two special *Between Worlds* artworks that include subtle meme and bitcoin elements. These pieces are designed to maintain relevance within the blockchain community while staying true to the series’ broader artistic vision.

Looking Ahead

This introduction is just the start of a journey. As the *Between Worlds* series evolves, so too will this newsletter. I plan to share more process insights, conceptual explorations, and behind-the-scenes content in future editions. The goal is to provide a window into my world as an artist—one that invites dialogue, reflection, and connection.
